George Springer launched a two-run homer in the third inning and the Astros held on to clip the Angels 4-2 in Houston. Alex Bregman also went deep for the Stros and Gerrit Cole tossed two-run ball into the sixth for the win. The Houston bullpen allowed just one hit over the final three-plus innings with Roberto Osuna locking down the save. The Astros lead the AL west by two-and-a-half games over Oakland. Shohei Ohtani surrendered two runs in less than three innings to take the loss in his return to the mound for the Halos. The Angels dropped two-straight after winning the first two games of the series.
