A woman answered the door of her north side apartment early today and was slashed across the face by a stranger, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The man ran off and remains at large. The woman was rushed to the hospital with injuries that police say are not life threatening.
It happened at the Avistar on the Boulevard Apartments near Huebner and USAA Boulevard.
Police think it might be related to a dispute the woman had with a boyfriend, and police are questioning witnesses.
