The American League West is starting to get interesting as the Mariners closed out a four-game sweep of the Astros with a 4-3, 10-inning win at Minute Maid Park. Seattle closer Edwin Diaz earned a save in all four games of the series to become the first pitcher to accomplish the feat since 2004. Diaz has a MLB-leading 46 saves. The Mariners are only four games back of Houston and Oakland is two-and-a-half games behind of the division-leading 'Stros. Ryon Healy tied the game in the top of the ninth with a solo shot, while Mitch Haniger's one-run double the following frame put Seattle ahead. Hector Rondon blew the save and Robert Osuna took the loss.
