A man died at University Hospital early today after he was shot by an apartment security guard during a disturbance in Alamo Ranch, on the county's far northwest side, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the Thirty Oaks Apartments in the 11000 block of Culebra Road, outside Loop 1604 near Taft High School about midnight.
When they arrived, they found a man bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to the hospital with no vital signs. He was pronounced dead on arrival.
Deputies say the man had been making a disturbance at the pool area of the apartment.
Deputies first tried to subdue him with pepper spray, but then resorted to lethal force.
No word on possible charges in the case.
