A USA Today report says the United States is the "most dangerous" place to give birth in the developed world.
The report claims that more than 50,000 women are injured during childbirth each year in America, with 700 annual deaths. Many of these injuries are due to hospitals not following proper safety measures.
According to the report, have of these deaths could be prevented with better medical care.
