Yonder Alonso homered twice and drove in three runs as the Indians drilled the Rangers 16-3 in Arlington. Tyler Naquin also went deep and plated three runs for Cleveland in the winning effort. Carlos Carrasco struck out eight over six-and-two-thirds to pick up the win. The Indians are first in the AL Central at 54-and-43. Bartolo Colon was tagged for five runs across four-and-two-third frames to take the loss and Austin Bibens-Dirkx gave up 13 hits and 11 runs in four relief innings. Adrian Beltre broke up the shut-out with a two-run homer in the seventh. The Rangers have dropped four straight and 12 of their last 15.
