Justin Verlander and three relievers combined on a seven-hit shutout as the Astros clobbered the Angels 7-0 in Anaheim. Verlander struck out 11 across six innings of five-hit ball for the win. Josh Reddick hit a solo homer and George Springer added a grand-slam in a five-run sixth to blow the game open. Houston has won four-of-five and improved to 66-and-35 overall. Los Angeles starter Nick Tropeano surrendered two-runs in five innings to take the loss. The Halos stranded nine runners on base as they dropped their third-straight.
