The Angels reeled off seven runs in the seventh inning as they hammered the Astros 14-5 in Anaheim. Kole Calhoun launched a three-run homer in the seventh for the Halos, and Mike Trout tacked on a two-run shot. Justin Upton also left the yard, and Andrew Heaney worked six innings for the win. The Angels ended a three-game slide. Lance McCullers Junior got chased in the fifth and took the loss for Houston. Alex Bregman notched a two-run double in the defeat. The Astros are five games ahead of Seattle for first in the AL West.
