A 21 year old woman was shot in the head overnight, as she stood in the kitchen of her own home, police tell News Radio 1200 WOAI.
Detectives say a man walked up to the side of the home in the 100 block of Cosgrove Street, which is off Gevers Rd. on the southeast side, and fired one shot through the kitchen window, shooting the woman in the head.
She was rushed to the hospital in serious condition but paramedics say she is expected to survive.
Police don't have the shooter in custody, but officers say it was not a random shooting.
