Former President Barack Obama warned about the rise of "strongman politics" while speaking in South Africa at a special event honoring Nelson Mandela.

During his speech, Obama said "Strongman politics are ascendant suddenly" and warned about "right-wing billionaires" and movements built on "barely hidden racial nationalism".

Obama's comments seem to be aimed at Donald Trump, even though he didn't mention the President by name.  He closed by telling the audience "You have to believe in facts".

Why do you think Obama is careful not to mention Trump specifically?  Should Obama speak out more, or stay quiet and let the next administration do their thing?
