Dallas Keuchel wriggled out of a bases loaded, one out jam in the sixth to complete six scoreless innings as the Astros downed the Tigers 3-0 in Houston. Alex Bregman hit a two-run shot in the first, his 20th home run. He scored in the third on a Yuli Gurriel single. Houston is 8-and-3 in its last 11 games. MIke Fiers was charged with the loss, giving up three runs on nine hits in six innings. Detroit stranded nine runners and went 1-for-9 with runners in scoring position. The Tigers have lost five straight.
