A 25 year old woman is in extremely critical condition with life threatening injuries after she was hit by a Hummer as she was attempted to dash across busy Culebra Rd. on the city's west side overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
It happened just north of the Culebra/Ingram Rd. intersection.
Witnesses told police the woman was standing on the curb talking with friends when suddenly she darted into the multi lane street.
The Hummer attempted to swerve to miss her but couldn't. The woman suffered multiple injuries, including serious head injuries. She was rushed to University Hospital.
The driver who hit her will not face charges.
