San Antonio Gang Leaders Could Face Life in Prison

Three alleged leaders of an east side gang called the East Terrace Gangstas are facing up to life in prison after being hit with new charges alleging they were in charge of a major ring distributing crack cocaine, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

The three, including Alvin Clark, who is alleged to be the leader of the ETG, are charged in additional federal indictments with being in possession of multiple firearms, as well as federal drug conspiracy charges that carry between ten years and life in prison.

San Antonio Police say the East Terrace Gangstas is a violent organization which is responsible for much of the recent spike in shootings and murders on the city's east side.

All three of the men are in custody awaiting a hearing.

The indictments were made possible by the SAPD's focus on drug trafficking and violent crimes occurring on the city's East side, federal prosecutors say.
