Alleged Mission Vandals Face Federal Charges

The three young people who apparently thought it would be cute to spray paint anti-Trump graffiti on the Visitor Center at Mission San Jose last month are now in more trouble than they ever imagined, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Gabriella Petra Fritz, 20, Sydney Elizabeth Faris, 21, and Andres Castenada, 19, are all charged with one count of 'Depredation of Government Property.'  And, since the spray painting spree caused more than $1,000 damage, it is a federal felony.

The three are facing federal charges because the Missions are part of the National Park Service.

The three thought it would be really trendy to spray paint messages mocking First Lady Melania Trump's "I don't really care do U?" message on her jacket as she left Washington DC to visit children at immigration detention centers in Texas.  There were also messages critical of Immigration and Customs Enforcement as well as unintelligible gibberish.

The three also face the possibility of additional charges for graffiti that was found the same night at Mission San Juan.
