President Trump says Germany is dependent on Russian oil and gas, while NATO is supposed to be guarding against Russia. Trump made the comment at a breakfast meeting in Brussels that included NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg. Trump said Germany pays billions to Russia because it got rid of its coal and nuclear power plants. Trump said Germany is a captive of Russia and it's something NATO needs to look at. Trump has been critical of NATO allies, accusing them of not paying their fair share for the cost of defense.
