Red Sox Shutout Rangers

J.D. Martinez blasted a three-run shot in the eighth to put the finishing touches on the Red Sox 5-0 win over the Rangers at Fenway Park.  Steve Pearce hit a two-run homer in the opening frame  to put Boston ahead 2-0.  Eduardo Rodriguez and four relievers combined  on the shutout.  Rodriguez ran his record to 11-and-3 in the opener of  the three-game series.  Mike Minor was tagged with the loss as Texas  fell to 2-and-6 in its last eight.  The Sox have won seven straight to  push them to 63-and-29.
