A man in his thirties was killed overnight when he was run over as he walked down the access road of Loop 1604 between Hausman Rd. and Bandera Rd. on the northwest side, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say two cars came up from behind the pedestrian in a darkened stretch of Loop 1604 about 11PM.
The first driver saw the pedestrian in time and managed to swerve to avoid him, but the second driver didn't have enough time to swerve and hit the man head on.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.Neither of the drivers will face criminal charges.
Its not known why the man was walking on the access road.
