Man in 'MAGA Hat Incident' Could Face Serious Jail Time

The 30 year old man who was arrested Thursday night in connection with the high profile theft of a 'MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN' hat from a teenager at a north side Whataburger could be facing some serious time behind bars, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Magistrate records show that Kino Jimenez, 30, is facing a charge of 'theft from a person.'  That is listed in his case as a 'State Jail Felony,' which calls for punishment of between a minimum of 6 months and a maximum of two years in a State Jail, like the Dominguez facility in southwest Bexar County.

Police say Jimenez was arrested without incident last night by Universal City Police after detectives identified him as the man who ripped the Trump hat off of Hunter Richard, 16, as he sat with his friends in a booth at the Whataburger at Nacogdoches and Thousand Oaks on Tuesday.

A viral video that has now been seen by some three million people shows the bearded,, red shirted man that police say is Jimenez throwing the teen's fountain drink in his face while yelling 'for your President!.'

He then walks off with the red MAGA hat making anti Trump comments and at least one racial slur.

Meanwhile, the teen is getting plenty of love from Trump Nation.

Donald Trump Jr. tweeted last night that he will get Hunter a new MAGA hat, signed by the President

Brad Parscale, the San Antonio businessman who is President Trump's 2020 campaign manager, tweeted 'stand strong.  There are hundreds of thousands who will stand with you.  Don't let a few bullies stop you from showing your MAGA!'
