A driver is in critical condition with multiple bullet wounds has he was shot while driving down a near north side street early today, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The call came in from the 1200 block of San Pedro, which is right in front of San Antonio College, about 3:30AM.
When crews arrived, they found the driver of a car bleeding from gunshot wounds. A passenger in the car was not hurt.
Officers scoured the area looking for where the shooting actually happened, and they discovered shell casings about eight blocks away, on Baltimore Street near Porter-Loring on I-35.
Police say the passenger told them another car pulled alongside as they were driving, and a person in that car fired as many as a dozen shots into their vehicle.
Police are looking for suspects and a motive, but don't have a good description of the vehicle the shooter was in.
