The Rays did all their scoring in the fourth inning as they held off the Astros 3-2 in St. Petersburg. Adeiny Hechavarria drove in a run for Tampa Bay and scored on a throwing error along with Joey Wendle. Wilmer Font only gave up one run and one hit across five innings to pick up the win. The Rays have won six of their last seven. Alex Bregman tried to mount a comeback for Houston with a two-run homer in the sixth inning. Gerrit Cole worked six innings in the tough luck loss. The Astros had their three-game winning streak snapped as they dropped to 55-and-29.
