A fatal accident involving two vehicles on the city's far northeast side this afternoon left two people dead, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say an SUV collided with a pickup on Green Mountain Rd near Loop 1604.
Police say both of the people who were killed were in the SUV. The SUV was trying to pass the pickup when it skidded on the wet road and slid in front of the pickup, which t-boned it on the passenger side.
Police indicated that no charges were likely, but the wreck remains under investigation.
The wreck tied up traffic in the area for several hours due to the investigation.
