Dunkin Donuts Mgr Offers Reward to Snitch on Non English Speaking Workers

This is not the kind of headlines Dunkin Donuts was hoping for. A sign in a store in Baltimore has Dunkin Donuts apologizing.

The sign apparently told customers to report any employees shouting "in a language other than ENGLISH" to the general manager.   Customers were offered coupons and free food in exchange for reporting the employees.

Dunkin' Donuts says that the sign was originally posted in an effort to deal with "a customer service and satisfaction issue" and has since been removed.

Is this a classic case of over-reaction by something that was posted on social media? Does it scare you how quickly something posted on social media can harm one's reputation?
