Ian Desmond homered twice as the Rockies rallied past the Rangers 9-5 in Arlington. The Rockies scored six runs in the second inning after giving up five in the first. Nolan Arenado homered and finished with three runs and three RBI for the Rox. Chad Bettis overcame a shaky first inning to earn his fifth win. Yohander Mendez got chased in the third inning for Texas. Joey Gallo and Jurickson Profar each homered in the first. The Rangers are on a seven-game slide.
