Evan Gattis homered twice and drove in five as the Astros crushed the A's 13-5 in Oakland. The Astros led 10-0 after two innings. Carlos Correa laced a two-run triple, while Marwin Gonzalez and Jake Marisnick left the yard. Gerrit Cole earned his eighth win for Houston. Khris Davis homered twice for Oakland, and Stephen Piscotty went deep as well. Paul Blackburn got chased in the second inning and took the loss. The A's try to prevent the three-game sweep on Thursday.
