Mitch Moreland blasted a two-run homer in the opening frame and the Red Sox went on to beat the Astros 9-3 at Minute Maid Park. Boston battled back to split the four-game series after dropping the first two. Andrew Benintendi added a solo blast as the Sox piled up 15 hits to improve to 41-and-19. Rick Porcello pitched into the seventh inning to earn the victory. Charlie Morton was tagged with his first loss of the season, giving up six runs on nine hits in five-and-a-third inning. George Springer hit a solo shot for his 13th homer of the season. Houston is 37-and-24.
