Police say a man in his twenties is in custody after he stabbed his own mother to death in their near northwest side home overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police answering a disturbance call in the 2100 block of West King's Highway, which is in the Monticello Park neighborhood off Fredericksburg Road near the Deco District, wound the victim, in her fifties, on the flood bleeding from a stab wound.
EMS was called, but the woman died before they got there.
No word on what sparked the incident. The son is being questioned and is expected to face a murder charge.
