The subtropical storm threatening to hit the Gulf Coast in the next 48 hours is now officially being called Alberto. The National Hurricane Center made the declaration today. Alberto is currently in the northern Caribbean. Heavy rain, gusty winds, and flooding are all possible. Conditions along the coast from Florida to Louisiana will start to deteriorate tomorrow afternoon as the system builds over the central Gulf.
