A man was rushed to SAMMC where he was pronounced dead following a shooting behind a northeast side apartment complex this afternoon, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the Oasis Apartments at Loop 410 and Harry Wurzbach about 1:30PM on a report of gunfire.
When they arrived, officers found the victim bleeding from at least one gunshot wound. He was DOA at the hospital.
Witnesses gave police a description of a car, a Camaro, seen speeding away from the scene, and the police helicopter was scouring the area looking for the suspect.
No word on a possible motive for the shooting.
