A 36 year old man died in San Antonio police custody following a disturbance early today,News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Officers were called to the 100 block of Rosemont, which is off St Cloud near Jefferson High School, on a report that an intoxicated an had become belligerent at a party and had begun fighting with guests.
When they arrived, officers trying to get the man out of the house were forced to deploy a taser when the man started fighting them.. Even after being handcuffed, the man turned on police, then suddenly became unresponsive.
He was dead by the time EMS arrived.
The Medical Examiner will determine the cause of death.. the SAPD will conduct an investigation.
