Trump Withdraws U.S. From Iran Nuke Deal

President Trump is ditching the Iran nuclear accord.  At the White House today, Trump cited "definitive proof" that Iran has not lived up to terms of the deal.  He said aggressive sanctions will soon be reimposed on Iran.  The multi-nation accord was signed in 2015.  Iran agreed to curtail its nuclear weapons program in return for relief from international sanctions.  Trump called it a disastrous deal and said the Iranian regime continues to be the world's leading state sponsor of terrorism.

Trump said there would soon be a "nuclear arms race in the Middle East" if the Iran deal remains in play.  European allies tried to convince Trump to remain in the deal.  They warned that withdrawing could further destabilize the volatile Middle East.  Meantime, Iran has threatened to reactivate its nuclear program if the U.S. pulls out.
