Two Men Shoot Each Other in East Side Dispute

Two men are clinging to life after they apparently shot each other following an argument on an east side street, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.

Police were called to the 1200 block of Vanderbilt, which is just off Gevers Rd, on a report of gunfire.  When they arrived they found a man in his late 20s shot multiple times.

Police then received a second call for a shooting at New Braunfels and Hicks, about six blocks away.

When they arrived, they found a second man, also in his twenties, bleeding from multiple gunshot wounds and inside an SUV which was riddled with bullet holes.

Police think both men were shot at the Vanderbilt address and one of the victims managed to drive himself to New Braunfels and Hicks before passing out.

Witnesses said the man had argued earlier in the evening, and apparently the disagreement rekindles later on.Police are not looking for any additional suspects, saying the man shot each other.

Both are at SAMMC in critical conditon.  No word on what the argument was about.
