A San Antonio Police Officer is hospitalized with multiple injuries after she was hit by a truck while she was trying to direct traffic around an accident on Loop 410 overnight, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The officer was rushed to the hospital but she is expected to fully recover.
Police say the officer was trying to warn oncoming traffic to an accident that was blocking several lanes at Loop 410 and Somerset Rd. on the south side when a pickup truck driver ran into her.
The driver of the pickup was not hurt, but is being tested for possible DWI, and will face other charges.
