A closing time argument between two men in the parking lot of a northeast side bar early today ended with an innocent woman hospitalized with gunshot wounds, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Two men got into an altercation in the parking lot of the bar in the 1300 block of Austin Highway shortly after 2AM.
As the argument escalated, one of the men, described as in his thirties, pulled a gun and attempted to shoot the man he was arguing with.But he missed, and instead shot a woman who was walking through the parking lot to her car.
She was rushed to the hospital in extremely critical condition with wounds that police said are life threatening.
The man who was the intended target was also shot, although his wounds were not as serious.
The guy with the bad aim then tried to run away, but he was tackled by the bar bouncer and held for police, said he will face felony charges.
