14 local charities are in better shape today, due to a record turnout to the annual charity gala sponsored in February by the PM Group, the region's largest advertising and marketing agency, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
PM Group CEO Bob Wills awarded donations to the organizations in an upbeat event at his northwest side offices.
"This year...I guess if we get a little drum roll....we will reveal this amazing amount of money, $523,825!"
Wills says this was by far a record donated by people who attended the annual Kings and Queens of Good Hearts Fun Raiser in February, which is sponsored by the PM Group.
Animal Welfare organizations, the American Heart Association, San Antonio Sports and Child Safe were among the organizations which will benefit from the generosity of the donors and of the PM Group.
