President Trump is blasting former FBI director James Comey this morning. The President wrote on Twitter, "Slippery James Comey, a man who always ends up badly and out of whack (he is not smart!), will go down as the WORST FBI Directory in history, by far!" Trump said he never asked Comey for "Personal Loyalty" and called it another "of his many lies." Comey has written a new book that is highly critical of Trump, who fired him last spring. Trump's comments come as an interview with Comey is set to air tonight.
In an excerpt from the interview, Comey says he believed Hillary Clinton would win the 2016 presidential election, and that was a factor in his decision to disclose the investigation into her emails. Trump responded to that on Twitter, saying Comey "was making decisions based on the fact that he thought she was going to win, and he wanted a job. Slimeball!"
