Vladimir Putin is calling the U.S.-led missile strikes against Syrian targets an "act of aggression against a sovereign state." The Russian president is condemning the airstrikes, and says they were against the United Nations charter. Putin said today that Russia is calling for an immediate UN Security Council meeting to discuss the "aggressive actions" of the U.S., Britain and France. Syria's foreign ministry also condemned the airstrikes today, calling them a flagrant violation of the international law.
