An elderly woman was killed today when her car was T-boned by a pickup truck as she was turning off of US 281 into a church parking lot, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police on the scene tell News Radio 1200 WOAI the 88 year old woman was turning left off of southbound US 281 north of Borgfeld Rd into the parking lot of Bulvderde United Methodist Church, and she turned into the path of a northbound pickup truck. The truck could not stop in time and smashed into the woman's car.
She was pronounced dead at the scene. There were two people in the truck and they weren't hurt. The driver of the pickup will not be charged.
