A man who allegedly shot and killed a woman on the south side Sunday morning was shot and killed by a Sheriffs Deputy, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
The woman was found in front of a home near Loop 1604 and Pleasanton Road, bleeding from gunshot wounds to the head and neck
The woman was pronounced dead by EMS before she could get to a hospital.
Officials say a man who was believed to be the suspect then approached deputies with a drawn handgun.
Deputies say they ordered the man to drop the gun, and he refused.
They then opened fire, shooting the man at least once. He was dead on arrival at the hospitsl.
Detectives are trying to put it all together, including trying to determine what the relationship, if any, was between the gunman and the victim.
