Police believe the shooting of a man in a northwest side home early today was a bungled robbery attempt, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police were called to the 1200 block of John Page, which is off Bandera Rd. in the Jefferson High School area, about midnight on a report of gunfire.
When they arrived, the victim told them he was at a party at a home when a man attempted to rob him, and then shot him.
He said the gunman sped away in a car with several other people. The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of a gunshot wound to the leg.
