Remember the case from a couple of weeks ago, where a 14 year old boy was shot and killed as he lay in bed in his east side home? The boy's father last night was arrested on manslaughter charges, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
When police arrived on the scene on Aransas Street they found the boy shot in the head, and police said there were spend shells, shell casings, and weapons all around the home, from AR-15 rifles to shotguns and pistols.
Andres Delgado, 44, was arrested by Repeat Offender Program officers and the SWAT team without incident Tuesday night in connection with the boy's death.
Police said Delgado 'imagined' that armed men were outside and were a threat to him, and apparently started firing wildly inside the home in response.
