Officials with Kendall Regional Medical Center in Miami say ten level one trauma patients were admitted to the hospital following the bridge collapse near Florida International University. Two of the patients are in extremely critical condition. Both were given emergency surgery. Eight others are in stable condition. Injuries range from broken bones to cardiac arrest. Officials say the age range of patients seen is anywhere from about 20 to 50. A couple dozen physicians and surgeons remain at the hospital, ready to treat any other individuals. Fire officials say it's unlikely for a significant number of patients to be sent to the hospital at this point.
