Texas Tech closed the game on a 13-2 run and outlasted Stephen F. Austin 70-60 in the first round of the East Region in Dallas. Keenan Evans scored the go-ahead lay-up with 3:58 left in the game to help the third-seed Red Raiders pull away. Evans finished with a team-high 23 points. Ivan Canete led the Lumberjacks with 17 points in defeat. Stephen F. Austin ends the season at 28-and-7.
