Rangers send top prospect Willie Calhoun to Round Rock

The Rangers have sent their top prospect Willie Calhoun to the minors.  He will open the season with Round Rock in the Pacific Coast League.  He is a second baseman being converted to left field.  Manager Jeff Banister says he wants Calhoun to improve his defense.  With Calhoun out, the Rangers will likely start the season with Ryan Rua and Drew Robinson platooning in left.  The Rangers sent 14 players to the minors.
