Gunfire rang out overnight in the upscale 'Pearl District' of Lower Broadway, and a woman was found shot six times, News Radio 1200 WOAI reports.
Police say they got a call for a shooting in the 1800 block of Broadway, in the heart of the 'Hipster District' right across from the Pearl Complex, about 11 Monday night.
Officers had to break the door down to get into the apartment, and they found the woman's body, riddled with bullets, on the balcony.
They found the body of a man on the couch, with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Police speculate that it was a murder suicide, but they are investigating the relationship between the two people are were shot to death,to try to determine the circumstances.
Nobody else was involved.
