Miami Beach Distributing Sandbags In Anticipation Of Dorian

US-WEATHER-HURRICANE-DORIAN

Miami Beach is opening a couple of sand bag distribution sites in anticipation of Hurricane Dorian. Anyone picking up sandbags will need to show proof of residency in the city. The two locations, one in North Beach and the other in South Beach, will be open today and tomorrow, or until supples run out. Several other Florida cities are running similar operations. Dorian is currently about 450 miles off Florida's east coast and the could make landfall on Monday night or Tuesday, although some models have the storm skirting the coast and heading north. Residents are urged to not take this storm lightly.
