Dorian Strengthening To Category 3 Storm

Hurricane Dorian

Hurricane Dorian is now a Category 3 storm after its maximum sustained winds reached 115 miles-per-hour. The National Hurricane Center says that the storm is extremely dangerous and poses a significant threat to Florida and the Northwestern Bahamas. The major hurricane has slowed down to ten miles-per-hour as it moves northwest. The center expects the storm to strengthen even more as it continues to travel over warm waters. Hurricane-force winds currently extend up to 25 miles from the center of the storm.
