According tot a recent report from the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the Biden administration released 3.3 million migrants into United States in 2023 after entering the country illegally either by parole or overstaying the allowed time.
1.1 million illegal migrants were released into the country by federal authorities including 900,000 released into the country at the port of entry, 860,000 illegal migrants evaded arrest by Border Patrol agents and were considered “got aways,” and 430,000 still remain in the country because they overstayed the allowed time for temporary residency.
The report from the CBO cited 2.4 million encounters in fiscal year 2023 by the Border Patrol at the southern border with Mexico.
Former acting Secretary of Homeland Security Chad Wolf described in an interview with Fox News, “When you have the sheer volume of numbers across the border, as the numbers increase, the number of public safety threats, national security threats, known or suspected terror, special interest aliens, the list goes on and on, increases as well, as well as the got-aways, and so the probability of individuals coming across the border that are here to do things to the United States and to Americans specifically, that threat increases as well.”
Not only did the Biden administration parole millions at the southern border illegally, they also decided to parole upwards of 30,000 migrants from Cuba, Haiti, Nicaragua, and Venezuela every month. The administration even created an app called CBP One mobile in which migrants could use to enter designated ports of entry across the southern border with Mexico.
