AP REPORTS: Biden Expected to Announce New Gaza Port Constructed By US Mili

According to media reporting, President Joe Biden is expected to announce a plan during the State of the Union address directing the United States military to construct a floating port off of Gaza in order to deliver humanitarian aid.

Reports suggest that no American troops will be on the ground in Gaza rather constructing an offshore pier to allow large food deliveries, medical supplies and many other items to be delivered to the people of Gaza. Israel is one of America’s closest allies and the White House has taken many steps to circumvent Israel’s position on the war and Gaza aid efforts all while Israel is trying to completely wipeout Hamas terrorists from the Gaza strip.

The Associated Press reported the United States military has “unique capabilities” and would be able to accomplish a humanitarian aid mission from “just offshore.”

“We’re not planning for this to be an operation that would require U.S. boots on the ground,” said an official who wished to remain anonymous.

On Friday, President Biden declared the military would start airdropping humanitarian aid into Gaza at the same time acknowledging the worsening conditions and crisis for the Palestinians. Over the past week U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) confirmed three airdrops of aid have taken place with the help of Jordanian forces.

Administration officials would also like a “maritime corridor” to be created to exclusively provide aid to Gaza as airdrops wouldn’t be enough to help all Palestinians.

A statement from the Pentagon described “humanitarian airdrops contribute to ongoing U.S. and partner-nation government efforts to alleviate human suffering. These airdrops are part of a sustained effort and we continue to plan follow on aerial deliveries.”
