In a spirited interview on "The Joe Pags Show," Trump’s National Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt broke down the events from the Democratic National Convention (DNC) and contrasted them with the messages from the Republican National Convention (RNC). Leavitt didn't hold back as she analyzed the stark differences between the two conventions and what they mean for the upcoming election.
Leavitt began by comparing the tone of the DNC with that of the RNC. She expressed how difficult it was to watch President Biden’s speech, where he seemed to focus more on attacking Trump and his supporters than on promoting unity. In contrast, Leavitt praised the RNC for its emphasis on bringing the country together, arguing that the DNC's message was largely driven by hate and division.
Leavitt went on to debunk several of the claims made during the DNC, calling out what she described as lies being perpetuated against Trump. She also highlighted the biased media coverage that Kamala Harris has been receiving, noting that 84% of the news stories about her have been positive, despite her avoiding interviews for over a month.
On policy, Leavitt reaffirmed that Trump plans to lower taxes again, just as he did during his first term. She accused the Kamala Harris and Tim Walz ticket of plagiarizing Trump’s policies, including proposals like no tax for tips and a baby tax credit. Leavitt emphasized the importance of focusing on both Harris and Walz as the election approaches, asserting that Walz is no match for Trump’s running mate, J.D. Vance.
