In a recent interview on "The Joe Pags Show," Texas Governor Greg Abbott shared his insights on Vice President Kamala Harris's role as Border Czar and the ongoing border issues. Abbott discussed the administration's claims and the reality on the ground in Texas.
Abbott began by dismissing claims that President Biden's administration is taking credit for improvements at the border, explaining that Harris has actually made the situation worse. He warned that under a Harris presidency, the borders would be even more open, with policies like free healthcare for illegal immigrants exacerbating the issues. "As bad as things have been under Biden, they will be far worse under Kamala Harris," Abbott stated.
He detailed the number of illegal immigrants passing through the border under Harris's watch and the associated crime rates, criticizing her lack of action. Abbott revealed that he has never had a conversation with Harris, despite Texas being the largest border state.
Abbott claimed that Harris would try to run on the successes that Texas has achieved at the border. He outlined significant wins, noting that border crossings are down primarily due to Texas's efforts.
Pags then shifted the conversation to Abbott's legal expertise, asking about the legality of Biden potentially handing his candidacy to Harris. Abbott opined that Biden abandoned his supporters and pointed out that Harris has never won a single delegate. He argued that the left discarded Biden, disenfranchising 14 million voters.
Lastly, Abbott touched on concerns about Biden potentially changing the Supreme Court, expressing his apprehensions about such a move.
